Free 3D Model: Royal Chesterfield Ottoman

Description

This model is a 3D rendition of a classic, round, tufted leather ottoman, inspired by antique furniture designs of the Victorian and Late Classicism styles. Also known as hassock, tuffet, or pouffe, the ottoman was brought to Europe in the late 18th century from the Ottoman Empire.  Ottomans have many different uses; for example, it makes a comfortable foot stool or foot rest, and a lovely piece of decor or housewares. However, they are mainly used for seating.  This model consists of 53,777 quad polygons, and 55,818 verts.  The object has been carefully UV unwrapped to avoid stetching, and comes with all the necessary texture maps for color (diffuse), specular (reflection), glossy (blurry reflection), and bump channels at 2048x2048 pixel resolution. The maps will hold up even under the most demanding camera angles and close-up shots.  Custom seamless procedural materials should work fine as well.

You are free to use or modify this model as you see fit, for your own rendering projects or scenes. As with all my freebies, the object can be used for both commercial and non-commercial renders. You may NOT, however, resell or redistribute the model or textures, or any derivative of them; individually, or as part of a package/set.

Alternatively, you can also find and download this model from the following resource locations, including additional renders and wire-frame previews:

*** OBJ IMPORT INSTRUCTIONS: There are 3 different OBJ files associated with this model, and one MTL file, which defines the texture placement.  You will notice that two of the three OBJ files are labeled for use in specific software applications (Poser and Blender).  For best results, it's highly recommended that you import the correct file to the corresponding software application.

I may be a complete idiot and doing something terribly wrong but when I import the Daz object, well nothing shows.  I mean it imports it, but all I see is a bounding box of where it's supposed to be and nothing more. lol   I even tried to import all the other files and I get the same thing.  Would you by chance have a clue why it's doing this?

***** Edit, it's actually not this one that's doing it but the free Pouf Ottoman that is.  Got them mixed up.  But still can't get that one to import properly. :(
