"Vivitron" is the second installment in a motivational series of short videos I am releasing on my Youtube channel before the New Year.  This video project is an experimental motion graphics animation created using the Max Creation Graph (MCG) modifiers and standard polygon objects in 3dsMax 2017. There were no particle effects used in the creation of this animation. All motion FX were created using keyframe animated modifiers and MCG tools within 3dsMax. Rendering was accomplished using the Corona Render engine in 3dsMax 2017. Video post and compositing work done in After Effects.   My usual video offerings of tutorial content for 3dsMax and Blender will resume in January of 2017 on a regular bi-weekly basis!

Hope you enjoyed this video, please feel free to comment or ask questions about it here or on the youtube channel page.  Thank you!

Thanks, xylomon.  Unfortunately, you are correct in that YouTube has really destroyed the overall quality on this one.  Even the sound was affected negatively.  Going forward, I'll try to make adjustments to the original knowing that the footage will be of a lower standard once it's processed on YouTube.  Be sure you have it playing in HD to get the most of what it is anyway.  Thanks again!

here is a nice video explaining it a little in case you're interested : www.youtube.com/watch?v=r6Rp-u…

i think vimeo handles this problem a little better, i have seen plenty of videos that have a lot going on and still look crisp enough to enjoy. i also heard someone say that the video should look decent when you render it out in 4k, maybe that'll work .

Yeah, these videos were rendered in 1920x1080 or (1080p), so perhaps 4k would solve the issue.  I think Vivitron suffers from the worst of it, due to the high colors and very fast motion.

maybe uploading the video in 4k does solve the problem because youtube compresses those files differently, i let you be my guinea pig for this though because that's a giant workload even for a short video.

I currently render and edit all my videos in 1080p, but I may move to 4k for production video with lots of effects.  I'll keep my typical tutorials at 1080p, because that's good enough res for what it is.

oh yeah, anything over 1080p for tutorials is wasted effort, i personally watch them in 720p . it would be great if youtubes compression process differs when it comes to 4k and it makes animations with a lot going on much smoother and gets rid of the confetti effect, it sure isn't a perfect solution but a good enough work around to avoid the problem .

anyways, have a good new year.

I love the intro, sound effects, and (of course) the trippy animation itself!  I look forward to what you do next in this dynamic vein.  :)

Thank you!  I have two more to come.  One I will launch later today, then the final one probably on New Years Day.  I appreciate the support as always!
