Modeled and textured in 3dsmax 2013, rendered in Octane render.

Originally wanted a simple environment scene to exhibit the pentagonal knot structures I modeled, so I built a quick corner room, then thought a chair was appropriate, then added a quick pillow I made for another scene, then more things, until this finally came out. I went wild with the texturing; some of it is UV mapping created in 3dsmax, some of it is procedural materials created later in Octane. I was pleasantly surprised to see some nice caustics from the water bottle when the render finished. I didn' think caustics would appear. Rendered with PMC kernel to roughly 15,000 samples.

Definitely recommend zooming in or enlarging this one. Lots of texture details.

Very nice render! Glad to see there are people out there not only rendering shiny spheres and cars with Octane haha.

The only thing which bothers me a bit in this render is the walking stick though. It's texture mapping, saturation and even proportions.If not this, I'm sure a lot of people would think it's a photo.

Thanks. Yeah, you're not the first to mention about the walking stick. Hmm. Funny thing: I have my grandfather's old cane sitting here, which is where I got the reference material for it, and it's the same blonde wood color I made for it's material in the image. However, I think where it fails in this scene is the placement I gave it. I needed to fill that basket for the sake of image balance, and for the life of me couldn't think of what else to put in it besides the newspaper. Haha Thanks again.

Great job but it does have a number of issues realism and compositional wise. Seems almost like you rushed it in the end in regard to materials. All nitpicking aside I'm also wondering about the Luxion cameo since you rendered it in octane. Keep it up. :)
