Twisted Torus Metal Sculptures

These are, as the title suggests, ribbed twisted torus sculptures, intended to appear to be created from a metal alloy (brushed nickel). These were actually quite simple to create. Just started with the powerful torus knot primitive object in 3dsmax (Autodesk decided to refer to it as a primitive shape, but it's rather complex and extremely versatile), and messed about with the parameter variables until I found something remotely interesting that I haven't seen 100x before from this primitive object. Once I discovered how to create these "ribs" in the shape, my first thought is it would make a really cool printed metal object, thus the material choice. The fabric backdrop was modeled from a simple plane object, using the Graphite modeling tools; mostly the sculpting brushes to push and pull the verts around into a cloth-like shape. I could have simply used the dynamic cloth modifier and ran a simulation, but I did it the hard way here, because I wanted control over where the folds and creases were placed.
